ABP climate policy: reducing its footprint and investing in the climate transition

Amsterdam, 16 December 2022 ABP’s ambition is to reduce its CO2 footprint in its entire global investment portfolio by 50% in 2030 compared to 2019. The pension fund will also invest €30 billion in the climate transition. These are the key measures in the pension fund’s new climate policy. The climate policy reflects ABP’s aim to achieve a climate-neutral investment portfolio by 2050 and the agreements made as part of the commitment of the financial sector to the Dutch climate agreement.
