Knut Kjaer and Scott Evans new members of the ABP Investment Committee

As of October 2008, Knut N. Kjaer (52) and Scott C. Evans (49) have been appointed posts as members of the ABP Investment Committee.

Mr Kjaer was Chief Executive Officer of the Norges Bank Investment Management (administrator of the assets of the Norwegian Government Pension Fund) until 1 January 2008. Prior to that, he also worked as partner in the Economic Analysis Centre ECON and as Executive Vice President of Storebrand. At Norges Bank Investment Management Mr Kjaer was responsible for the management of more than EUR 260 billion of invested assets.

Mr Evans is Executive Vice President, Asset Management, TIAA-CREF, and Chief Executive Officer of investment advisory subsidiaries Teachers Advisors Inc. and TIAA-CREF Investment Management LCC. TIAA-CREF is the leading retirement system for American workers in the academic, research, medical cultural and other non-profit sectors. With $398 billion in combined assets under management (9/30/08), TIAA-CREF serves 3.6 million active and retired American employees of more than 15,000 institutions.

The current member F. Fröhlich PhD (ex Chief Financial Officer, Akzo Nobel) has been appointed as chairman of the ABP Investment Committee as of January 1, 2009.
